Bill did his usually charming manly stride into the dining room, offering his weary “afternoon ladies” to June’s guests. June’s friends thought Bill was a charmer alright and ever glad to be at June’s when he came home from work. But June had an agenda and called their attention to the trinket she had found in her attic. I think it belonged to my favorite ancestor, Great Aunt Bertie, who was a world traveler. The item was an Egyptian styled charm, presumably from Bertie’s repeated sojourns to African regions. I also think it might have some mystical power…June heard gasps from the women, now all fixedly eyeing the cameo. Bill shrugged and fixed himself a drink and settled in his den.
