Today, let’s reflect on moving! Write a haibun that alludes to moving, any way you conceive of it.
***
Moving on it’s called, as if anyone can truly move on to something new while mourning loved ones? The memories linger, as they should, but accompanied by tears.
distance sensed
summer doldrums felt
grief remains

I have lived in seven States and shed more than a few of the tears you speak of ……. your haibun is short … and sweet.

Your poem resonates with me, Cheryl. It’s the twelfth anniversary of my father’s death in five days’ time and I still feel his loss, still have the ‘summer doldrums’.
