Cooler days here, a summer to mourn
Autumn feels shown in the breeze
Harvest time is near
Those foods we hold dear
Are the delicious ripe fruit in the trees.

Our apple tree is bearing fruit for the first time! We sampled yesterday—tart but perfect for cooking!
