You may think it absurd

When listening to a song or reading a word

It invokes such emotion

Or forgotten notion

And I end up in tears

Or remembered fears

Words come and go like spring snow

But remain in my heart

Never apart

My brain thinks one thing, my heart another

Could be relief or something other

Than a memory.

  1. My mom was just saying this last night, that she has to avoid certain pieces of music because she knows that no matter how many times she hears it, she’ll start crying. She’s so sweet:-)
