He couldn’t believe their day

He was enamored in every way

It all came to a halt later that night

As they lay together in embrace tight

She fell asleep and then came the report

Surprised at hearing such a loud snort

His dream lover turned into a joke

He jiggled her arm until she woke

She was hurt by his claim of such a noise

Told him off with no pretended poise

Years later he’s regretting his act

As a snorer himself is now a fact.
