I’m cute, I’m small, but that’s not all

I’m mischievous to a fault

Here I sit on my dad’s shoulder

Trying to act a bit bolder

In truth, he’s gargantuan

He’s a male orangutan.

We are notorious for our strength

Seven times humans with arms at length

Residing in rainforests only

But we never feel lonely

Our lifetimes are short

Nearly half of yours

And our bigness wouldn’t fit through your doors

When we sense danger we let out a hiss

Warning our friends, sounds like a kiss

  2. Love this and the picture. Made me think of that old Clint Eastwood movie “Every Which Way But Loose” with him and that adorable orangutan, although I think in real life they’re very unpredictable.
