Time flies, it’s already the second day of the new year.🤩. In the corner of my kitchen is a gift I received for Christmas. It is red, my favorite, very cute, but useless. I tried the “nostalgic hot dog cooker” and was so disappointed. I grew up with hotdogs and toasted buns. Not the fat, hard to separate ones available today, but the kind Dan over at No facilities eats at his local restaurant. I cannot find them here except in a restaurant an hour away and of course I don’t drive.
Thus, the welcomed gift! I found it burned the buns that stuck inside the machine that crumbled on retrieval, and the hot dogs were lukewarm at best.😳 😫. This is an example of you can’t judge a book by its cover, dang it.🤨

Sorry about your hot dog and bun cooker. I seldom eat dogs, but they are usually without the bun. However, I will afford myself a hot dog on a bun, with relish, on occasion via a stand at a fair in the summertime. For whatever reason, they always taste better than what I can make at home.

Oh, I am sorry, Cheryl. There’s nothing worse than anticipating the perfect dog and having it not come to fruition. Those buns are hard to find. I wish I could send you a take out order.
