What day is it Anyway?

Well I’ll tell you

It’s no secret

Twitter and FB

Threw out some litter

Seems even they have rules.

Bomb blasts, hurricanes destroying

President’s thumbing always annoying

TV and streaming endlessly boring

Walls in my rooms seem cloying

While COVID number deaths are buoying.

Kids going back to school is shocking

Less and less old people rocking

On all doors disease is knocking

When people still won’t be locked in.

While all of this is ongoing

I am sheltered and it’s showing

Mostly clouds, no sun glowing

August passing without knowing

If and when a cure

Will appear for sure.
