Oh to enjoy the freedom of my childhood once again. Walking over meadows, stretching up to climb big stone formations, being king of my surroundings, or laying among wildflowers imagining I was a princess in need of rescue. Childhood for many is a true gift, and only the reality of life boxes you in as an adult.
To hear barefoot slaps on hard brown dirt roads, squeals of conquest in the top of a tree, winded excitement of a thrilling long steep sled ride on crusted snow, laughter spying unsuspecting cousins with a pea shooter, evening grass lay abouts, watching stars, smelling new hay stacked in the barn–all of these are delights of my childhood.

what a delightful meander down memory lane … we can always brighten our aging process by reliving those childhood delights to the best of our ability 🙂
