1. To find old posts, I scroll to the bottom of my blog, where it lists the number of posts I published by month and year, so I look through them until I find one for the same date in a previous year. It not easy, but it’s the only way I know of.

   2. If you go to your main menu, go to Design – Customize – Widgets – Sidebar. Then add the “Archives” widget. Here’s what mine looks like:
