Going on holiday is an oxymoron
Emphasis on the last part
Making plans for what to ride on
Train, plane, automobile, or cart
Sinking feelings start as you plan
Might we choose a caravan
Or we could try a scenic cruise
No sleeping bags or tents to use
Hotels, room service with a smile
While dollars from your wallet fly
A cabin in the woods retreat
Fire burning warmth is neat
Or mountain climbing might suffice
Hiking, ropes with clamps advised
All these plans in the making
I think too much time it’s taking
A new thought suddenly appears
I like our home, let’s just stay here.
