Coffee, tea, or TP

The ongoing saga of the online shopping basket experience continues. Several emails back and forth and five days later the King Soopers charge for an order they cancelled during it, was taken off my bank account. There was a problem with the POS system my “personal shopper” was using, which begs the question, how do they charge you before the order is completed? The shopper kept texting me saying they were out of — and she credited it, but hey, I was charged for the whole order already!

A customer service phone call assured me the trouble would be rewarded with a $30 credit which of course I haven’t seen. Kröger, who owns King Soopers and many others, writes emails wanting me to send feedback, etc. This is getting old. I yielded with a response, but all I really want to say is, “Fix it!” At least with an order from Amazon, they credit your account immediately, even before they get the return item.

Of course, I’ll not use online grocery shopping again. I’m not fond of companies that take before they give and then delay. Those of us on fixed incomes don’t shop willy nilly and can’t afford two monthly grocery bill charges. Asking someone to take me is the way I’ll have to go, even though it’s a pita!
