Waiting. . .for Death?

Sunshine in windows

Morning coffee brew

Strength to rise again

Dishes drying

Postman’s clutter

Factory’s noon whistle.

Spending life waiting for the routine to end before beginning the day once more. Occupied with reading, listening, watching, all the while waiting, anticipating with hope, dreaming it will change, but if not, waiting for it to end.
