Where’s the guileless child

Soccer, legos, catching frogs

Disappearing so quickly

Now a teenage beauty

Trying on school dance gowns

So grownup, wiser, yet

Still guileless in the world.

I spent yesterday with my thirteen year old granddaughter, watched her grow up in an instant as she emerged from the dressing room in a full length gown. Oh, my heart🥰.
