It’s difficult to be spontaneous

When all the extraneous

Living around you requires facts

Pleasing others requiring tact

Facts of where and when and how

Would be easier to be a cow

Then your day is quite humdrum

Chewing, grazing, laying in sun

Spontaneous I’d prefer to be

Life exciting, possibly

The cow’s life has its merits

But I wouldn’t want to share it.
