I nearly fell! The bridge was narrow and long with no railing. I heard the the wood creaking under my weight. Here and there boards were missing, but no faltering here. Stepping carefully, making the right footfalls made all the difference. I paused and looked back over the deep chasm, realizing I had accomplished what I thought impossible. This challenge over, I moved forward to another.
