It’s Official

Living in an apartment, bottom floor, I have two apartments stacked above me.

Unfortunately their schedule is different. This building is all single bedroom apartments and mostly inhabited by single people. Most of these people are first responders or military. This means they sometimes keep odd hours.

Waking up at 3-4 am is not bad, I can go back to bed, not always to sleep. I am quiet during the daytime unless laughing with one of my grandkids who are visiting. Even then we obey the to “10 pm to 8 am be quiet” rules.

I’m never sure of anyone’s schedule except when I hear someone snoring from above.😄

So yesterday it was official, the guy above works nights! At least I’m not this guy:

So how’s your weekend going?

  1. We live in an apartment too but it’s pretty calm in our neck of the woods. A few noisy neighbors now and then and our complex allows pets (not cougars though) so we hear dogs barking.

As I am writing this, today is Tuesday, and all is well except the weather! 😓

    Thank you for following BrewNSpew!

  2. I live in an apartment complex, too. Before I got sober 7 or 8 years ago, I used to be the loud one. The crummy neighbor. The idiot blasting his stereo at two in the morning. Now that I’m among “the quiet ones”, I actually feel that complaining about the noise from my younger, hard-partying neighbors would be hypocritcal, so I just try to tune it out. Perhaps this is just my karma coming back to me.

  3. Not bad except for still being unemployed. Did yard work and cleaning and am now trying to hammer out a short story about an immortal, elder gods, in a sword and sorcery world.
