Daily Post Prompt: Visceral From 2017
I guess it shows now, more than ever
A leader who thinks he is quite clever
He hopes everything’s taken “literal”
Instead, it is taken visceral
Spouts his defense, even though he’s lying
Following up with actions defying
An honest, heart warming sense
Meaning to incite crowds to tense
Protests against their fellow man
Asked why he does it, “because I can,
I am the greatest, see me here,
I am president, don’t forget it
If you defy me, you’re going to regret it!”
From him there’s no virtual hugs
If you disagree, you’re all thugs
The only way to make America great
Is call for impeachment, quash his hate
His plan of dividing us with walls
Just makes all of us look small
Threatening to bomb
Gives no aplomb
“Gather ye rosebuds while ye may”
Disarm this man, how about today?
