MLMM Wordle #138

Artwork in Graphite” was the original title of this piece. Apropos of the nebulated piece, she thought.  What freedom he took with the medium, relying on long served clients to jump on his latest efforts, if only to boost their profit margin.
She lingered over it, trying to visualize any meaning, while his followers caressed the image with their gaze.  Rubbish, she thought, pure rubbish, allowing this thought to fester in her mind as she perused the remaining works of his exhibit.  She was stymied as to his popularity while it should be obvious a child would have more creative imagination.
Taking advantage of no lull in conversation, finding the artist alone for a moment, she decided to clasp hands with her former lover and whisper what she thought a deserved reflection of his talent, “detritus”.  She smiled at his shocked reaction and walked out of the gallery, satisfied.
