“Just a bit further, Mother Goose, I promise. The sun is going down and we have to arrive before dark.”

Mary, Mary quite contrary was actually being nice this afternoon when asking Mother Goose to take her to the country to see how Mary’s garden was growing. Mary had been busy partying in the village, ignoring her responsibilities, and had little boy blue checking on things for her at the farm.

Unfortunately Mary received an urgent message from wee willie winkie saying there were problems at the farm. Little boy blue had fallen asleep and the animals were ruining the crop.

She also had hired little Jack Horner to keep a watchful eye, but he was of no use, just sat eating pie. Mary’s other friend Mary had let her lambs run through the garden too, so Mary contrary was on a tear trying to right these wrongs.

Meanwhile the old woman who lived in her shoe just watched and chuckled thinking Miss Contrary got what she deserved.
