A to Z Challenge – H for Haunted

My sister lives by herself in an old home in New England. She has been a widow for about twenty years. At different times certain (let’s call them weird) things have occurred.

A baseball that her husband had was gathering dust, no offense L, on her bedroom bureau and in the middle of the night it rolled off and woke her up.

This morning she found this:

Even a draft wouldn’t cause it to be halfway removed. The chimney would have to be lifted up out of the bottom, wouldn’t it? A broken piece was on the floor, but the lamp seems protected by the sides of the cabinet. It has been sitting in this same place for over two years.

Probably we all see things drift out of the corner of our eye, or feel a presence…don’t we?
