We never made promises

We never even met

We wrote each other meaningful sentences

We loved each other through those words

I only heard your voice a few times

Affection from written, not spoken

Time changes circumstances

We have changed

Your needing me has waned

Don’t worry if you forget me

I’ll still remember us.
