On your nose fizzy kiss

It was bottled bliss

Burn on your throat

In the form of a Coke.

An addiction of sorts

Not one you snort.

1886 the beginning

Reports say it was in it

To avoid all liquor regs

Coca leaf, kola nut, used instead.

It wasn’t until as late as 1929

The company was pulled back into line

It’s still unclear since 1980

If there’s still a trace

Used at their place.

I admit I used to like it a whole lot

The drink known still as Coca Cola.
