We used to have a real estate agent in the neighborhood. As part of her advertisement, she would put small flags on the premises of the neighborhood whatever spots she could stick the flags.

What? You were warned to take the flag down? Why? Our neighborhood is quite patriotic! A lot of homes have at least a 3′ x 5′ flag flying in the front of the houses.
