I was reading a post, looking at their entry for a photographic challenge and entered my response in the reply section. I clicked send and the words “saw this” were transformed into “swaths”. I don’t know who or what does the spell check feature but has anyone else noticed the words are changed into sometimes nonsense words or that they put words that are completely unrelated to the sentence you’re writing? It seems superficial to me. Is it a computer? It had to be programmed by someone, right? And whoever programmed it used a dictionary at some point? Or is it programmed and maintained as a colossal joke on everyone?
So I’m asking you now–
What is the worst spell check that happened to you?

I once sent my wife a text telling her that I was going to catch a cab home from the airport and spellcheck changed “cab” to “can.” My wife responded, “A can of what?”

My spell check once changed the word “Virginia” into “vagina”…gave a whole new meaning to where I used to live!
