A force who we know
Age of ninety or so
Tiny and hearty
Hid she was a smarty.
Strong in her garden
And bible regarding
A mother of four
Who all went to war
Strength in her worries
Caused no family flurries.
Lived across from the park
Where kids would embark
She’d offer a greeting
To kids that were meeting
By her Iris filled garden
When weedings were done.
She watched from her step
Their funfilled pep
A lovable spy
Kept a watchful eye
Whether rain or shine
This grandma of mine
Ageless through time
A riptide sublime.
What a beautiful tribute to a strong woman! A true matriarch.
