 It is a sad note

And not so remote

As we probably wish it would be.

Two people in love

Blessed from above

As some might not wish it to be 

A person’s gender

Does not render

Them incapable of being true to Thee

In fact through life’s

Incredible strife

These couples prove faithfully

Love is love, I lament

It’s such a simple statement

But some say it shouldn’t be

I think they’re wrong

Will sing my song

For justice and humanity.
