Ahh, perfume, that light, lovely scent
Of roses, lilies, lavender and yet
There is always that other perfume
The one that drives you from the room
Heavy aroma, seductive? Maybe?
Makes you sneeze, even cry like a baby?
You know the ones, make your eyes water,
Your nose run, the ones that oughta
Be worn in secluded rendezvous
If that’s what you prefer to do.
I have no problem if that’s what you choose
In your own place, might be inviting the lewd?
But when you’re in public, please spare us your choice
We all have our own, hopefully quieter, voice.
Well said!

Amen to that! Strong perfumes can really be a problem for people
with asthma or allergies.
