The carnival tent was dark in hue
Sign read “I have fortunes for you”
Curious George and his sister Sue
Lifted the flap for a better view
“Can you do just one or maybe two?”
George asked the woman with hair of blue.
“Come in my dears” with a crackled coo
“Exactly what can I do for you?”
“Tell our fortunes, if that’s what you do”
George replied, not having a clue
They sat and watched as the cards flew
Flying down on the table as if they had glue
“I only tell what they say, just a few
Speak the truth involving you two.
But first I see there’s a payment due
Before I reveal what they’re telling you.”
Sue looked at George, George looked at Sue
They stood up and out the tent they blew.
Brilliant!
