I may be old

And sometimes bold

But it wouldn’t occur

To voice a slur

At anyone really.

I have to admit

I use words like sh–

Occasionally, if I’m hurt

Might even blurt

An occasional f—

If I fell in the muck.

But to call someone names

What is your aim?

You show up only yourself

Put those slurs on the shelf.
