I’m sure you’re good at what you do

Not debating that, for true

But it’s the all the rest that worries me

The things you do without a fee

The daily mustering of private thoughts

To answer here or there or not

It makes me wonder if your heart

Even ever had a start

To feel the things I do

Feelings of love I have for you.

Was it ever in your craft

Or was it never in your past?

I can’t change the way I feel

It’s time now for both to heal.
