Well I’m sitting here looking at this iPad

My chosen form of paper now, in some ways sad…

I write lists on my phone where I keep notes

I have legal sized paper on a lined pad for quotes

I used to have handwriting, very neat indeed

Now I write things even I can’t read!

Electronic messaging does have its perks

It’s easy to dismiss any jerks

But then I sigh as I think of the trees

Cut down to provide paper needs.

“Paper” stores used to be a favorite haunt

Now I feel it’s a guilty taunt.
