An 8 Ball Future

It is my abject opinion

And disagree you might

The aleatory of my future

Seems unimaginative, even trite

Any visceral attempt to change it won’t succeed

A special crystal ball isn’t what I need

Just like the “rest of us”, trying to survive

Avoiding conflict, striving to stay alive

If you think that life’s a gamble

I would say you’re right

Might as well use an 8 ball

To see a future plight

All in all we’re lucky to be still hanging onto earth

And live lives to the fullest each day for what they’re worth.
