Tedious perfectly describes my encounter with WP the last few days. Why that is I haven’t a clue. Everything looks the same but when I try to do anything, it doesn’t work. It took five tries just to get this post to put Cyranny’s address on it. ๐

I talked to a WP Happiness Engineer for a loooong time yesterday and she said that we will be able to use the old editor.. just to click on the three dots in the upper right hand corner and it will be an option. May be called the classic editor. They don’t define these things very well. Fingers crossed.

My Tags and Categories have disappeared, and now and then my page freezes and I can’t do editing. Pingbacks have finally started working, but sometimes my entire right panel disappears.. the one that contains save, post, tags and categories.

My app seems to be playing up a little at present, Cheryl. Perhaps the issues are linked to the impending changes to the new block editor…

I had the same thought, Tom. This happens and then a message flashes on asking if I’d like to try the new editor. I’m wondering if it is encouragement to switch? Last time I did I couldn’t switch back so I don’t trust them this time. I’m hanging on to what I know for as long as possible.

I think it’s changing for all of us on June 1st. That should be fun! ๐

I checked and there is a button to push/highlight to engage the new editor. I don’t plan on pushing it๐๐ฅด
