I guess this award is appropriate, being versatile, as I was just thinking what a weird blog I have. One day I’m ranting, another I’m writing about loves of my life, another about a favorite movie. I do not think I’m award worthy, but I certainly appreciate your faith in me. I will strive to do better. I’m working on storytelling and poetry, sometimes it is difficult.

I want to say thank you to my readers. I so appreciate your taking the time to read and comment, it means a lot.

Seven things you might not know about me: this is hard because I’m pretty much an open book here on WordPress, btw, that’s fair warning:

I like mustard, onions, pickles and a toasted bun on hamburgers instead of ketchup.

I have been a widow for five years. My two best friends also, so we call ourselves the Merry Widows, anyone wishing to join, just contact me.

I went to a one-room-pot-belly-stove-in-the-corner school till seventh grade.

I have nine grandchildren, ages 5-24, all intelligent and beautiful of course!

I live alone in a small apartment.

I am wheelchair bound since two failed back surgeries.

I love music, movies, reading, writing, but most of all humor in all things.

  3. I SO want to join the Merry Widows! When I mentioned it to George though, he armed himself with a baseball bat and said “are you sure you want to join?” so I have to put off the request for a bit until he forgets…..thanks for the nomination! I accept! (oh of COURSE I accept! When have I EVER not accepted an award as I get to talk about ME!)

  5. Congrats, dear Bag Lady, and thank you for the nomination 🙂 I briefly thought about joining the Merry Widows club, but since it means having to arrange a wedding and funerals in a fairly short amount of time, I’ll leave that on the back burner for a while 😉
