dVerse Poets

I only snoozed a moment

I swear on my constant light

Then checked if I was standing right

I had woken up to a sudden shift

Felt movement, then a sort of lift

I looked around and saw in shock

I’d been removed from sea and dock

Now how can I be useful here

Watching foxes, bears or deer

Might they need my warning light

When hunters roam in dark of night?

Oh well, I guess I have no regrets

Here I’m not always getting wet!

  1. I always admire a good rhyme! Some lighthouses I have seen have been moved inland but never this far! The voice of this lighthouse is playfully captured.
