The Sunday Whirl


The ship rocked in the rain and storm, but she felt no fear, instead she once again folded her legs up against her chest. The lingering, here beside him, a stretch of his arms around her, had opened that narrow door to her heart. He had opened the space with his words and gestures. He had placed himself inside it, as beautiful an action as placing fragrant roses in a empty vase.
