A vacant look in her eyes as she leaned against the bar, ever waiting for the next client to appease. It was only when a scrupulous bartender realized she was ready to meet her fate once again that he helped her. He knew she had taken a medication to enable her to get through the next client, and he shuffled her into the back room. He then called a clergy friend of his to aid her. The bartender had a soft heart and had seen too many women in this state.
