M for Mariella. My oldest sister to be exact, and she passed away, 91 years old, last week. Appeared fine weeks ago and then developed pneumonia. She was ready to be with her husband who died a few years ago. I will miss her but remember how funny and protective she was to me and all the great memories we shared. They had seven children and a huge family that grew over the years. She insisted she was happy and couldn’t wait to join her husband. I take solace in her words.
