Tears as I saw the building, the decorum, the 400,000 flags billowing as a statement of remembrance of lives lost to Covid, and the realization that the country will survive. I can finally feel true hope.
My takeaways for performances: Lady Gaga as she sang, so moving, true to herself, but I was disappointed to see JLo was invited. She disgraced herself, imo. The poet laureate was moving and spectacular. Introduction by Kobluchar outstanding.
The Bag Lady 
It was emotional to see all of the Flags in memory of those who lost their lives.
