Sirens wailing, speeding trucks, and I could only stand aghast
First responders leaping out their doors, rushing to the cars at last
A child crying for her mother who had already left this plane, loud equipment sawed open a door holding her prisoner failed and I thought this seemed insane
The newest firefighter saw his sister in there bound, as I watched him furiously trying to save her on the ground
His vision was not true, his sister was safely home
Adrenalin can play tricks, it is well known.
