Please, sit down, I don’t mind. In fact just get comfortable, lean against my trunk. Yes, it is a bit rough, but that’s the beauty, isn’t it? A large tree like me needs a strong base to hold up my arms. My arms, so many varied sizes and lengths, decorated with various jeweled colored leaves–honestly, I am a massive work of art. And when the snow comes, I spread these arms of mine, stretch them thin to enjoy the white joy of that season. I may take a nap or two during this time till spring suns wake me. But for now, sit back and dream, enjoy the autumn splendor that I am.

I love this tale! I originally read its title as saying “apple” rather than “maple”. Maple trees are beautiful though.
