Summer Night

I covet the caress of cotton on hot sleepless nights. I move to look at you beside me, those coal colored coronas staring back at me. I can cover your face for an instant in a call for play, and then relish in your response. Afterwards we rise and enter the balcony to see a column of protesters in the street below cart their cacophony of words in unison.
