“Mommy, look! Isn’t it the sweetest thing? I must have it!” Janie tugged on her mother’s sleeve desperately. Janie’s mother looked at the sculpture, thinking it was one of the ugliest pieces of ceramics she’d ever seen.
“My dear daughter, are you really so enamored of this piece? Look over there, aren’t they much prettier” pointing to a shelf holding fairies and butterflies. Janie wouldn’t take her eyes off the pup in the cupcake.
After a few hours, it was bedtime for Janie. The new purchase sat on her bedside table. As soon as the door closed, the small dog crawled out of the cake and jumped on Janie’s pillow. There would be no sleep for the child this night.
