The old guy at the corner every day, begging for help, a job, a dollar, a McDonalds. . .Yul is his name, given to him at birth. He had a cockney accent I loved to hear. I drop some coins into his hat as I do every day. “Thanks, mum” he says. You’ll notice I put only a few coins every day, just enough for a hamburger or cup of coffee. It’s a way of celebrating the Yule every day instead of just during the holidays.
