We were to gather at the mall and peruse the Christmas tree lot. A few of the participants were bothered by the fact we had to arrive at a unanimous decision. The littlest in the family gravitated to the biggest ones, the oldest in the family hovered over the smallest ones, and the middle group were attracted to the six-footers.
Having only one home which had one living room to house the tree, there had to be compromises made. After a few cups of hot chocolate provided by the weary salesman, and much discussion by all, it was decided to splurge and everyone chipped in.
Three purchases were made, a large living tree to be planted in the front yard, a small tree for the grandparents’ bedroom, and a six foot living room choice for everyone to enjoy.
