I know it doesn’t just hate me, it hates others as well but there does seem to be a very strong dislike for self hosted sites when it comes to the “WP Community”

No one else has reported that but I don’t know whether they respond from the reader, the admin bar or the site. I prefer the admin bar and don’t seem to have any issues replying
